Radiation Safety & Control Services exhibited at the Mirion Technologies Training and Benchmarking Seminar from July 22-25. Fred Straccia, Steve Nester, Jason Stevenson, Norm Gaulin and Jen Collins participated in this meeting.

RSCS Spoke on These Current Topics and Training Sessions:

  • N-16 Exposure Range and Type Testing of the DMC3000 ED

RSCS has partnered with the University of Massachusetts Lowell to reopen their N-16 Exposure Range for instrument calibrations and characterizations.

  • Gamma Spectroscopy Principles

Fred Straccia hosted the training course "Principles of Detection and Identification" that explores the radiation detection and radionuclide identification process using spectroscopic devices.

  • Instrument Calibration Methods

Fred Straccia hosted a break out session on performing instrument calibrations.

  • Instrument Repair Methods

Norm Gaulin co-hosted the training course "Portable Instrumentation Repair" that will cover entry level troubleshooting and repair techniques with hands-on activity.

We Also Celebrated With Our Esteemed Colleagues at the Open Mic Night

  • Fred Straccia and Steve Nester played with the Mirion House Band "Radioactive Romance" during the Open Mic Night social events, and encouraged our friends to participate by playing an instrument, singing a song or cutting a rug on the dance floor.  The band was a big hit!
